The month of June flew by so fast with busy-ness. I have used that word in other blog posts saying how I don’t care for it, but I FELT that during June. Long story short, we demolished the old garage and excavated for the new space! My brain has been swirling with my to-do list regarding the garage project, let alone my crafting side hustle/vendor markets, this blog, custom projects, trying to see friends and make time for myself too.

My mental energy suffers and gets depleted quickly when I live in chaos.  

My brain craves organization even in the simplest things as: putting my makeup back in the bag, emptying the overflowing garbage, cleaning a dirty sink, making my bed, putting things back where they belong (and being consistent with the location of these things so you can always find them.)

I’m a firm believer that if you are walking from point A to Z and it will take less than 30 seconds to put something away, even if it means walking upstairs or downstairs, just do it! It’s a good way to get your heart pumping as well!

Anyway, the last few weeks have been really busy and we are looking at the calendar for a really busy next few weeks too!

I slowly dipped my toes in the TikTok water. I made a couple generic videos that wouldn't give away too much information.

Then a few weeks ago I saw a TikTok about using an air-dry shampoo found at Sally Beauty™. When I say I ran there, I'm not kidding.

The best part was the gal working at the local store was familiar to me from another retail establishment in town too so we had fun little chats and she also KNEW ABOUT THE TIKTOK.

Essentially Alison started as a simple "business" Instagram page for my oils side hustle (more on that later.) My sister deserves all the credit for the name Essentially Alison. It was a play on words for the oil hustle but as time has gone on, the oils, the crafting, the sewing and now the products I want to write about are TRULY. ESSENTIALLY. ME. I am Alison. I am Essentially Alison. These products are essentially me.
